Ísey Skyr Bar is an Icelandic concept whose products are based on the traditional, fat-free and sugar-free Ísey Skyr made in the traditional way. The Ísey Skyr Bar menu is created by Icelandic Michelin chef Agnar Sverrisson or Aggi as he is known. Aggi’s fondness of the experimental and modern cuisine is reflected in the recipes he developed for Ísey Skyr Bar. Ísey Skyr Bar’s bowls, boozts and juices use only nature’s own flavors of fruit, berries and vegetables, along with the fresh and protein-rich Ísey Skyr curd. The products are fresh and healthy and are great for both lunch and snacks.
The story of skyr began 1,100 years ago, during the Viking ages with the first Icelandic settlers. Icelandic women made protein-rich skyr to maintain the health of their families in harsh, weather beaten conditions. The unique skyr recipe was passed from mother to daughter through generations. The original recipe is still used today to make the creamy, protein-rich and fat-free Ísey Skyr.
The traditional Ísey Skyr used by Ísey Skyr Bar is lactose free. No added sugar is used in our products.
